Keychain Tassel Top - Brass
6” Square of Cardboard
Begin by cutting 2 8” pieces of ribbon, set aside.
Wrap remaining ribbon around cardboard.
Use 2 8” pieces of pre-cut ribbon to tie a few knots around the wrapped ribbon, as pictured below.
Once secure, turn cardboard over and cut ribbon directly across from the tie on the opposite side.
Straighten ribbon so that the strands you tied are at the top.
Insert the tassel, knot side up, into the tassel top. Use a small dowel or the tip of your scissors to push it all the way up.
You should see the ribbon through the two holes. That’s how you’ll know it’s all the way up in there.
Next, grab your tiny screw driver and the screws included with your tassel top. Begin screwing in the pins, securing the tassel.
If at any time it feels too difficult to screw the pin into the top, stop and remove the pin. These pins are sensitive and easily strip. The pin should go in smoothly without much effort. A little resistance is normal at the end, but it should not be difficult to screw. Make sure you pin is straight before beginning again.
Trim off any longer or hanging pieces from the end of the tassel.
Very short pieces can be trimmed and pushed up into the tassel top.
