The Grasslands Hanging Storage Basket is made with jumbo weight yarn for the biggest basket ever -see picture below with a 12” ruler for scale. It holds over 10 lbs. of yarn.

Color A: Bernat Maker Big - Chartreuse (3 skeins)
Color B: Bernat Maker Big - Ivory (1 skein)
Design is worked in the round
Pattern is worked in a continuous amigurumi style working continuously without joining rounds together.
Approximately 24" x 34" when laying flat, expands in width, height and length when filled.
Gauge is not necessary for this project.
Using color A create a magic ring
Rd 1: ch1, sc5 into mr
If needed, insert a st marker into working st to keep place.
Move st market each time a row is complete (Fig. A)
Tie on new skeins as needed using a simple knot (Fig. B)
Rd 2: sc2 in each of the 7 st from prev rd (14sc)
Rd 3: *sc2 in first st, sc1 in next st* rep 7x (21sc)
Rd 4: *sc2 in first st, sc1 in next 2 st* rep 7x (28sc)
Rd 5: *sc2 in first st, sc1 in next 3 st* rep 7x (35sc)
Rd 6: *sc2 in first st, sc1 in next 4 st* rep 7x (42sc)
Rd 7: *sc2 in first st, sc1 in next 5 st* rep 7x (49sc)
Rd 8: *sc2 in first st, sc1 in next 6 st* rep 7x (56sc)
Rd 9: *sc2 in first st, sc1 in next 7st* rep 7x (63sc)
Rd 10: *sc2 in first st, sc1 in next 8 st* rep 7x (70sc)
Rd 13: ch2, hdc70 in blo, slst in 1st hdc to join (Fig. C)

Rd 18: ch1, sc15, sc2tog over the next 40 st, sc15, so st in 1st sc to join
ch10, slst in same st as join from rd 18 (Fig. D)
Rd19: switch to color B, tie on to same st as join, sc50, sc10 into ch, so st in blo of 1st sc to join
Rd 20: slst50 in blo around to base of ch loop, fasten off, do not cut ends
Wrap yarn to the back of loop (Fig. E)
Wrap approx 15x around base of loop.
Tie off and weave in ends (Fig. F)
