This colorful wrap scarf is named after the Valley of Flowers National Park in West Himalaya. It features jumbo tassels and can be made with Lion Brand Mandala yarn in the colorway of your choosing.
Size 9mm hook
Large eye tapestry needle
Lion Brand Mandada Yarn (3 skeins - any colors)
6-7 nch piece of cardboard for tassel making
Approx. 52" wide by 16" tall while laying flat
Tassels: 5” in length not included in dimensions
Hold 3 strands of yarn together for the entire project
Row 1: hdc in the back ridge of 3rd ch from hook and across, ch2 turn (120hdc)
Row 2-26: hdc120 in the blo, ch2, turn
Row 27: hdc120 in the blo
Fasten off, weave in ends
TASSELS (Make 4)
-Continue working with 3 strands of yarn
-Wrap yarn around 6-7" piece of cardboard 50x
-Use 1 strand of yarn to tie around yarn while still wrapped on cardboard
-Knot multiple times to secure
-Cut off tassel on opposite end of knot just made
-Use another single strand to tie tassel just below knot
-Use the first knot to tie tassels to the corner of scarf
-Weave in ends and trim tassel ends
