This process can sound confusing, but’s really just simple math. In this tutorial we are beginning with a round of 10 single crochets. Because we began with 10, we will increase by 10 each round, making out rounds 10, 20, 30 and so on. This will typically make a flat circle, but the thickness of yarn and size hook used will determine the final shape.
When decreasing, the opposite is true. If you are beginning with a round of 30, you will decrease by any number that is divisible by 30. For this tutorial, I decrease by 10 in each row. This means we are single crocheting 2 stitches together for every 3 stitches.
