Organize all of your project yarn in one place with ease.
You’ll never lose track of colors, brands, dye lots and names when you use a swatch card for your yarn.
Begin by printing your PDF on cardstock. Use scissors to cut out the edge of your card.
Each card has small gray circles in the place where you are going to punch a circle with your hole punch.
Follow along the edge and punching each of the 8 holes.
When complete, you should have 4 holes on each side of the card.
Gather your yarn and decide how you will place them on your swatch card. I’m using a set of ombre colors, so I am working dark on the bottom to light on the top.
Trim at least 8” of yarn and fold in half. Insert the folded side of the yarn into one of the holes.
Pull the ends of your yarn through the loop to secure, similar to creating fringe.
Continue adding yarn until your card is filled up.
Next, write the brand(s) of your yarn in the header section of your swatch. Include any details you may need to remember, like yarn weight.
Add your yarn colors next to each swatch. Again, you want to include any additional information such as dye lots.
Now you have your finished swatch card and you’re ready to begin a project.
